by Anders Bengtsson, this management pack allows security groups in Active Directory to be used to discover classes in Operations Manager 2007. For example if you already have your servers divied into security groups in Active Directory you can use populate classes from those groups and use the same in Operations Manager 2007 for targeting.

This management pack needs to be adapt to your environment before you can use it. Anders recommends you to do that in the Authoring Console.

Nice work Anders!

Thank you for posting this. I followed the steps and I got this working. I now have classes populated dynamically via the OU groups in AD. My problem is... we were hoping to use this to be able to a particular OU (that is dynamically added and subtracted to as well) into a maintenance mode for reboots without alerts. It appears though, that as your management pack works, it creates a 2nd object for each server it pulls from the AD OrgUnit, so when putting this object into maintenance mode, our original object (the server itself) does not get maint mode turned on as well. I am assuming this is becasue we are working with 2 different objects. The dynamic object created from the OU, and the original object created when the client agent reports in and is accepted. Any way to link the 2 objects?
